Overview

Longyearbyen is one of the world's northernmost towns and is the most accessible frontier in the Arctic. This is the maine base for exploration of Svalbard. Here you will have the chance of seeing various wildlife such as reindeer, polar foxes and arctic birds. Local attractions include the Svalbard Gallery, Svalbard Museum and the church.

Siteseeing

This is one of the world's largest untouched natural areas. In the summer you will find great contrasts providing the framework for dramatic glaciers, majestic mountain formations, buzzing bird mountains and endless Arctic tundra with its diverse flora and fauna. The cruise line does not offer any tours here but during your visit you will find various alternative excursions offered by local operators at the pier.
